2nd Day...

Nothing much happened today... Still almost the same like yesterday, just that I think I'm a bit closer to some people now... A tiny tiny bit, but still... Doing the same letters stuff, picking up calls, and collecting these recent forms such as the Bursary forms, Seniors Medical Benefits form, CNY 2009 Hong Bao Presentaiton to Seniors etc... And I also realised that actually there is a uniform for the permanent staff, like blue tops for the male employees, pink tops for the female employees-.- So practially it means that people such as me and Shuhada who are temporary staff, also Kenneth who is a voluntary member (a guy who studies in Melbourne) are mainly the odd-one-out... Oh well, at least I get along with them two the most, as compared to others, cause we're all not permanent staff:P

1st day at work=)

Today I was so gonna be late-.- First Day of work, yet I woke up late... So was really scared actually, cause the person actually rang and said that this CC is particularly sensitive about being punctual and all crap like this... So I was really scared, cause I haven't fully figured out the way to get there... But anyways, got on the train, and luckily reached there just in time=) So then I was introduced to many people, where I can't remember faces and names... Worse still, all the guys seemed to be wearing blue tops... It just made it much worse for me to match faces to their clothings for the first day... So it was totally confusing for me... I was also being brought around by some people to have a look at what and how this CC functions... Indeed, after I know that the Counter work, which is my job, includes much multi-tasking, which I've gotta say, I'm sorta strong at it... But afterall, this is still my first job, so it does gets a bit tough... Being a bit anti-social for the first day was me, cause I haven't got a clue where everything was, and everyone seemed so distant to me... So that day was mostly printing letters, folding them and putting them into envelopes, then get it stamped for it to be sent out...

It wasn't exactly a difficult job to do, just that there's way too many things to learn in a short period of time, and picking up calls was one great challenge for me today... I can never remember what I have to say, and it's really long to say, by then I think people would have fallen asleep after I have to say: "Good morning/afternoon/evening, Bukit Batok CC, this is Celia speaking, may I help you?" It sorta became a tongue twister type of thing for me after several attempts of trying to speak fast but clearly...

The dinner tonight ---> Uncle Steven and Bee Cheng dragged me out of the workpile to eat:P We went to a faraway coffeeshop, cause they said they were sick of eating near-by food, so yea... I ate the recommended duck rice, it was $3.50, sorta expensive for a coffeeshop, but there were quite abit of duck there, so I guess it wasn't too bad... We ate as we talked, although most of the time, it seems like Uncle Steven and Bee Cheng were talking about the people at the workplace, not that I know who they are talking about exactly (not when I can't fit names to faces!!!)... It's not exactly badmouthing people, but they were probably talking about the attitude of certain people at work...

Saw this top at the Pasar Malam, was gonna buy it, but after hesitating for sometime, decided not to...:P

Out with mum and aunts...

Today, I had to go make a new pair of glasses... First, I had to go out with my mum to Bugis... As we walked through the busy Bugis Street, I saw this thing, with the stall trying to advertise for its assorted fruit juice drinks...

Anyways, then we headed to the place which I haven't got a clue where it is, just know that it's somewhere between Bugis and Lavender:P As we were walking such long distance, typical of my mum and aunts to do this quite often actually, I took out my camera and took random shots:P

Two funny looking houses side by side:P

Baby glasses... CUTE:P
My new glasses...

Comparison of the lens... with the old and new pair of glasses:P

Huge lens glasses on the left, tiny small lens glasses on the right:P

An awesome stick-on-the-wall clock... The numbers were all stucked on by the owner of the shop... CREATIVE it is:P

Ferris Wheel=)

:P

Apparently back in the days, the street that this Mosque is on is one place people would try to avoid as much as possible... Purely because people always got murdered there, especially Chinese by the Malays... They would use those parang to kill the people, sounds so freaky when I heard it, even though it was in the afternoon-.-

Haji Lane, one of the tiniest street in Singapore, I think, super duper tiny, sometimes you wonder how do cars fit in it... And there's another tale here... Especially late at night, this lane would be one place to avoid best too, cause apparently when you go in, you will not get out... Don't think it means you'll die, but more like if girls enter the lane, then she would probably get raped or something, and in a way cause the lane is so tiny, it's impossible to scream for help... Freaky...

Christmas decorations everywhere=)

Tomorrow is my first day of WORK... At the Bukit Batok CC=) Finally got a job, after searching high and low for one... Somewhat looking forward to it...:P But sian... Just had 2 sardine puffs, 1 curry bun, 1 egg tart... Ai seh, fattening supper-.-

A Day full of DRAWINGS=)

So, Xin Zhi and I decided to go out today, but because Singapore is too small to decide on places to go, we somehow ended up in Toa Payoh... Over there, we saw this Anti-Drug Art Competition thingy whereby many students' art pieces were being graded, and I've gotta admit, some of them are really really good!!! Damn, I envy people who can draw-.- Shall let the pictures do the talking=)

(Some others that didn't get into the Top 3)

Board which includes descriptions of many different kinds of drugs...

This guy and his paint can spraying job...

Not exactly finished yet, but still, it looks really cool...

Then we decided to take neoprint at Orchard Cineleisure, cause many neoprint shops are gone from many shopping centres nowadays, so hard to find one!!!

Infrared's gay, cause my mobile only has Bluetooth, so didn't get the pictures in my mobile-.-

Don't know why they even bother changing to Japanese currency... Cause they were really afraid of people running away after exchanging the Japanese currency-.-

Pictures=)

US, with our neoprint=)

I look funny:P

A board filled with neoprints=)

Awesome flower lights:P

This is a really cool invention, I don't actually know how it works, but I saw it at the Woodlands Pasar Malam, and I saw someone inside the ball thingy!!! It was freaking cool, but I didn't dare to go near it to touch it since there were a few guys sitting there staring at me taking these pictures:P
